Speaking of foolish people...
Reverend Al Sharpton may have finally found his calling. After coming off a failed presidential campaign, Sharpton has landed a part in the new reality series "I Hate My Job" for Spike TV. Oh, and entertaining, I'm sure it'll be! Al Sharpton knows entertainment. Once a host on Saturday Night Live, Sharpton scoffs at the idea that a reality show may be bad for future political aspirations. "A lot of politicians don't do it because they can't do it," he said. "I can do it." No doubt. However, I'd be much more comfortable if the Good Reverend stuck with the entertainment business and left politics. Maybe he could start a game show or something.
I find it very interesting that John Kerry and Al Sharpton are now stumping together for the upcoming election. Apparently, there is nothing negative for Kerry about linking up with that wacko. Forget Tawana Brawley, Freddy's Fashion Mart, all the race-baiting, etc... The media seems a lot more forgiving to ordained ex-presidential candidates with reality shows and bad hair. Or maybe just anyone besides Bush.
At least he can admit it
"I am the most foolish person I know."
--Thirty-eight-year-old Mike Tyson staging yet another comeback, this time against Danny Williams next month.
As much as I complain about people like Mike Tyson, I'm thrilled with the fact that we have people like him to provide us with comic relief. You just have to sit back in amazement and observe the insanity that is his life. It's like a bad movie that you have to keep watching.
Bad hair occupation
Female police officers in Berlin, Germany, have just won the right to patrol without the small, blue cap that was part of the uniform. "The women complained that the caps were hard to fasten and caused considerable problems with their hair-dos," said Heinz Buschkowsky, the mayor of the Berlin district of Neukoelln. Funny. Police women here in the states aren't required to wear hats either but it hasn't done a thing to improve their hair-dos. You should have seen the last police woman who pulled me over.
Shooting to kill
A Mexican boxer beat up a man who shot at him outside a gym. The man, who was armed with two pistols, missed and had to be treated for head wounds after the intended victim fought back. Moral of the story: If you're going to shoot at a champion boxer, please... for your own safety, make sure you hit him.
