Question

Is it okay to dump the cruddy remains of my tea into my plant? You know, the sediment from the tea bag? Will it kill it or is it similar enough to water?

wouldn't conducting an experiment just cancel out the laziness quotient?

Um, who's to lazy to dump her teabag in the trash can? I feel bad for your plant already.

while staying at the organic farm in holland, there was a confusing argument about whether coffee grinds were suitable for the compost pot in the kitchen. ? tea though seemed completely fine. i say sure! put all the crap in there you can... but no citris fruit peels!

The one thing I'd be concerned about is the tanic acid in the tea...it could alter the ph of the soil.

Turn it into an experiment -- use two plants, and feed one your leftover tea, and the other one the regular water diet -- and see which one thrives!

I'm not much of a tea drinker, but my hunch would be that the organic part (tea leaves, etc) of the tea would be just fine (may even be good for it, who knows?), but the answer to your question all depends on the additives, be they preservatives or anything else that's synthetic. And I know not what all is in there in that regard.

Someone else is going to have to either add to my answer or provide a new answer.
