Do Not Watch

I do the whole Netflix thing and couldn't be happier about it. Blockbuster sucks. The problem is that my turn-over time for movies is really bad. It didn't used to be. I'm on the three-movies-at-a-time plan and should probably drop down to one. I put the movie Hostage on my list well over two months ago and just watched it last night. If you weren't aware, Hostage stars Bruce Willis as a hostage negotiator and is REALLY bad. Really. I'm not joking.

A good friend of mine scoffed at me when I told him I rented it. He said that I should just know that, with certain actors, the movie is going to blow regarless of what the movie is about. He said he doesn't watch anything with Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damm, Steven Seagal, Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones... He just knows better.

So my question to you... Are there actors like that on your Do Not Watch List?

Kim: mistaken you are. Gravely mistaken.

They do seem to do the same kind of movies... although I'm not sure I could see Ashley Judd as Miss Congeniality.

Ashley Judd or Sandra Bullock.

If you insert them in each other's films will there even be a difference?

I'm thinking not.

Hugh Grant. Even thr mention of his name wants to make me barf.

Russ, please. The words Jack Black and genius don't belong anywhere near each other unless the word not is somewhere in between them.

Isn't MP the one with Scarlett Johansson in it? Oddly, I found Lost in Translation to be an endearing movie, but ScarJo and Woody together sounds creepy, at best.

Vince won't watch anything with John Cusack or "feisty Sandra Bullock" in it.

I hate Woody Allen, even in Antz. I tried to watch Match Point and couldn't make it 10 minutes.

Jack Black regardless of the genious/genius that he is, I'll second Tim Allen; Mark Wahlberg, Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, Sarah Silverman, Carlos Mencia, Dane Cook, Sandra Bullock to name a few.

KIM WHY YOUY GOTTA BE HATIN ON THE JACK BLACK!? A comedic genious he is...misguided sure, but genius nonetheless...

Keanu Reeves
Vin Deasle
Julia Roberts
Tom Cruise
George Clooney
Leonardo DeCrapio

Jack Black and Tim Allen--they both irritate me tremendously.
Tom Cruise, post-1999 when he became a freak. I still like Top Gun, though.
Lindsay Lohan, although I don't know that she really qualifies as an actress even though she has been in a few movies.

Adam Sandler
Ben Afleck
Rob Schneider
and Kristanna Loken, but only because she doesn't return my phone calls.

Adam Sandler

Tom Hanks is slowly turning into one. I loved him in Big, I hated him in some more recent ones. Usually I am not big on Drew Barrymore at all, but I do like the pilot for her latest movie.
